Post your, Backyard Practice Sections

Post by sharvie »

On Mark's prompting, here is a thread to post your backyard practice sections. I must thank my 35 week pregnant wife for taking these pics.

Don't be put off by the slightly over-the-top style of my obstacles, post anything

Steve

Great snaps Steve and congrats on the new bub on the way.
I still get a shiver from just thinking about how spectacularly I could crash off "the ramp".
I'd rather be a D grade participant than an A grade spectator....

This next one, "The Log Gap" when ridden in the forwards direction (shown) requires comittment, when reveresed gives that shivers feeling Mark describes.

The sun had gone behind the hill so the pics are not as good as the first lot.

Steve.

Steve I hope you are going to show the steps. They were what scared me most

Ok, here's the steps, most of these sections are more scary in reverse

You can see how lucky the neighbours are to have such a great view

This is the first balance beam I built, the first three planks line up and the last one kinks off to the right, before a dropp-off

I was supprised to see that the front tyre was almost off the edge in pic 2, didn't notice while ridding

This can be reversed but I reckon I have only cleaned it a half dozen times from countless attempts

The small balance beam is curved and good to ride in both directions

This one is called "rock log combo"

Fairly difficult, though I have managed a few cleans on it
