I don't know if current TALON aluminium blanks would wear any better than good aluminium sprockets made in the 1970s. I remember always using steel sprockets on my bikes as a kid because I used to go through them quite fast and steel was cheaper per KM. My enduro bikes and trials bike back then were road registered and saw big KM so sprocket cost and wear resistance were important.
I've bought a few of those TALON blanks over the years. The oldest one was fitted to my TY250A in 1995 and it is still in perfect condition, but it (like the others) does get a pampered life compared to the sprockets of my youth.

relax, nothing is under control
Re: TY250(1974)
Yeah..I can't believe that I actually got my license on my TY and rode it to work.
But it was really fun to ride and felt safe amongst the traffic..plus I could easily do wheelies and show off a bit.
Wouldn't be a good idea now days
Thanks for the advice.. I still have some wear on my current sprockets so maybe it will last...
