Tassie Titles

Post by Geoff Lewis »

Hi All, I have just downloaded the regs for the Tas Titles and there is no Classic Class. I am hoping a number of classics will compete and if so they will probably accomodate us as they did last year. My suggestion would be for them to run Classics as Pre 1968 International thereby allowing Sprite, M10, 4 speed Bantam, early Montesa etc also no problems with Carbs etc. Could anyone let me know if they are interested in attending. If no other classics are attending then I will enter Twinshock on the CZ.
Regards Geoff.

Hey Geoff
Sad that they forgot Classics in the Supp Regs but I'm sure they would want them there as Pre 65 Classics are always included in a titles event.
Sprites,,, M10,,,,, 4 speed Bantams,,,,, early Montesa' s,,,,, sounds like a class called Twinshock to me..
I'd love to ride Tassy but I will be overseas, I'll make it one day though.
Have fun over there
Cheers

Gday, if there are enough entries to run the class we will! Otherwise twinshock is the next best bet. Looking forward to seeing you.

Cheers,

Hi Roger and others, My view of this event is, that because it falls outside the MA rule book anyway the organisers can do as they see fit.(Good thing!) I am hoping that more riders will turn up for a classic class that includes more bikes and less politics. I am hoping that people will not take things too seriously and have a ride at this event, as it is so much fun and the people and atmosphere make it a must do on the trials calendar as far as I am concerned. I would like some more feedback on this please.
Regards Geoff

Hi Geoff
Good to hear you are riding in Tassie. I'm sure you will have a ball whatever class you get to ride.
Wendy and I had a great time travelling around Tassie for a couple of months in our 4WD. Poor Wendy, all the time I was going on ad nauseum "I wish I had a bike with me".
That was before kids came along.
It is now a long term ambition to combine a family holiday and riding the Tassie Titles but it won't be happening this year.
Regards
David
