The first trial of the year for the RTC Inc will be on tomorrow at Waterson's property, Chamberlain Road, Burua (between Gladstone and Calliope, coastal central Queensland)
The sections were set this morning in extremely humid conditions by a keen group of volunteers. All sections are in the shady creek bed and heavily treed creek banks. The section difficulty has been kept on the easy side in anticipation of either rain or continued humid opressive riding conditions during the event.
There are nine sections in total of which three are shared between upper and lower grades. All sections are within the one reach of the creek with the furtherest section approx 150 metres from the car park.
Riders briefing 0930hrs. Riding start 1000hrs
RTC Inc Annual General Meeting to follow trial
Thanks to section setters:
Nicole and Mick Casey, Brent Chivers, Ken Cutmore, John Sophios, Timothy and Kevin Evans, Darcy and David Lahey

Re: Rocky Trials Club Inc trial tomorrow Sunday 6th March 20
Post severe weather update:
A big storm went over the catchment for the creek with the trials sections this afternoon.
The Evans live a few hundred metres away from the trial venue and recorded 120mm of rain this afternoon and their creeks have gone over the banks. Chamberlain Road (access to the trial property) is currently blocked at Clyde Creek crossing due to flooding.
I am planning to go and have a look at the sections later tonight when Clyde Creek crossing opens for traffic and will post an update on this forum when I get home.

Tim Evans just posted pictures of Clyde Creek road crossing (on facebook) that look like they were taken not long before sunset and the flood marker is at 400mm and looks to be flowing fast

Timothy has posted another photo taken just as the light faded and the flood guage is showing 950mm.
I probably won't be able to get in to Waterson's for a look until tomorrow morning at the earliest due to this crossing being so deep and rain continuing to fall.
