Can anyone tell me if the stator / coils/points etc for TY250 (D) is the same as a DT from the same year?

Re: ty coils points etc
Hi Shaun
I think the DT250D has pointless electronic ingition.
The TY250 ABCD motors all appear to have the same backing plate, coils, points, flywheel cup and magnets as each other, and the TY250A was developed in early 1973, so I would have thought that if the TY250 backing plate details were going to be similar or the same as one of the trailbike range motors, it would likely to be the most similar to a 1972 DT2 or 1973 DT3 ignition rather than a 1977 DT250D.
