Are there any Trials riders interested in riding monthly. OR are you a past rider or someone who'd like to get into TRIALS.
Are you interested in meeting new riders, riding and socialising regularly with other people who share the same interests.

Sorry to revive such an old thread, I'm in Mackay and am looking at purchasing trials bikes for my father and I. Dad used to ride trials here regularly around Kinchant Dam up until the early 80's.

Hopefully there is a few other like minded people in Mackay as it'd be great to do some events without major travel involved.

yes there are trials riders in the Mackay area. One Mackay rider is a regular at every RTC event. Some others come down and ride the two-day events in Rockhampton and Gladstone.
There is talk of running events at Mackay soon, but no dates set yet.
Probably too far away for what you want, but there is a trial planned for the Easter weekend near Townsville.
You can expect a PM soon from myself or Angela with contact details for some of the Mackay area trials riders.

Excellent, thanks David. I'll probably make a decision on which bikes to order next week so we can probably be ready for Easter in Townsville, we'd be pretty green though. I guess if a section is too knarly we can skip it.

I think if we had some events here, it wouldn't be hard to get enough people interested to form a club here. I know we had a pretty good club back in the day.

A 2-day trail ride here regularly attracts 500 - 800 riders, we'd only have to get 5% of them onto a Trials bike and we've got a club.

Would be great if you can give me the contacts for the locals, I've got 2.5 acres at home and will build a test track to learn on.

I know this is an old thread...but have recently been re-introduced back to bikes after many years away from & a group of Christian guys have formed an informal Offroad Group & do regular day & overnight rides on registerable enduro bikes but the group caters for all ages & bikes & am really enjoying but missing my old Observed Trials days of the '80's & looking at purchasing another Trials bike. Are there any riders in the Mackay area that would be interested in getting together even for a social ride occasionally give me a call..Mark on 0477955385. Cheers.

I live in Mackay and ride trials nearly every weekend in the region how ever due to the lack of riders here my style is different, i ride adventure trials to explore places few if any people go

I'm keen to start a social informal riding group here in Mackay and take people riding who are keen to ride more trials around the region
