Suppose it is about time I got started on the KT, it was back on page 8 that I posted photos of the Basket Case or was that a Dish Case or maybe a??? Not sure where to start, had another look at the parts, scratched my head and wondered about the original owner. Something tells me that they must have Kinked And Walloped All Sunday And Killed It!

Yeah Greg,
I've got a broken old basket not unlike that, except its the wrong colour.
If you're willing to risk the dangers of fresh paint I'm sure it could become green.

And David,
Thanks for the great photos above, but I'm not sure that they belong in the category of basket cases....
except for maybe one little orange Yamaha ......... and its rider.

Hi David,
This has got me really curious.
Did this combination come about simply because of a lack of serviceable Kawasaki parts, and an abundance of Yamaha ones?
Or were you actually trying to change some aspect of the bike? and if so, what was it? The suspension rate? Steering geometry? Brakes? or something all together different?

Or was it simply the fact that every good bike should have at least a bit of Yamaha?

Hello to all. David is it just me or does that KT seem to be rather high in the rear end. It looks like longer shocks to me. Or were they all like that. Graham.
