TY250a conrod.
I am restoring a ty250a and contemplating a bottom end rebuild. I have tried a few places for a conrod kit but they don't stock them for my model. Can anyone assist on this issue.

Re: TY250a conrod.
There are several sources for after market rod kits in Australia. I'm not sure of the dimensions of a TY250 rod kit but I would think that is the same as the DT or MX from the same year. If you can measure your rod and pin I should be able to track one down. Last one was around $160 plus fitting.

Should fit a 250A...........I think the later TY model TY's were different, so first thing to do is check the dimensions of your rod and make sure replacement one is the same.

Re: TY250a conrod.
Thanks guys, the Mataka mx kit seems to measure up the same.............why would they not list it as one. I mean who cares about an MX250 anyway...TY's rule.
I will let you know what happens.

Re: TY250a conrod.
Only the very early TY uses the same rod as the MX bike, so obviously not a good idea to list it as fitting the TY. Mitaka rod is half the price being charged by a TY specialist in the UK, so seems a good deal to me!

I put a HOT ROD kit in mine, work's a1for me ( B&J Racing in USA )
