Just bought this, it was a non runner, put petrol in a new kickstart and it fired up after 3 kicks.Have USA title it has 2000 miles on speedo which judging by it could be about right, engine sounds good, not smoking from cold and selects gears. I will not be stripping it for a while but have some 35mm Marzocchis lined up for it and intend to lower the pegs, fit a tank/seat unit get wheels built with alloy rims etc etc.

Looks like a Reflex to me...............I wonder have you found someone able to machine the 34mm fork yokes to take 35mm stanchions, or are you going to use a pair of Steve Sell's 35mm billet yokes?

It is a Reflex, I have a choice of using forks/ yokes from a Fantic or 38s from a Gas Gas (prob a bit overkill for my std) if I go with the Marzocchis I will get a stem machined for the yokes or there is someone local(UK) who does a nice sensibly priced 35mm yoke set, had some done for a Bantam.. Not decided yet, I won't pull it apart until later in the year.

38mm forks will make your bike an awful lot better, and a used set may well be cheaper than billet yokes (last set I bought were £75!)

I recently bought another early 247 Cota to use its motor to speed up a rebuild of my other one which is the big hub model. We have had a long running early Cota thread going over on Trials Central; http://www.trialscentral.com/forums/top ... -247-1969/
