TY250d rims.

Post by typarts-aus »

Can anyone tell me the difference between TY20a and TY250d rims as I have the opportunity to buy a set of (d) rims and would like to lace them to my (a) hubs.

they have a different profile and are different brands. The D rims are made by Tagasako, are lighter, have a sharp shoulder and are flared outwards at the outer edge. They appear very similar in section to shoulderless AKRONT trials rims of the 1970s. All the TY175 and 250 twinshock hubs are the same so there is no problem with interchangability of rims.

Thanks David, I thought they were a different profile but was unsure of the sizes and spokes etc. I am looking at a set of aftermarket replacements.
