RL250 modified foot peg photos

Post by Takhli44 »

Just back in from 13 practice sections with the modified foot pegs and I like 'em. Think I was able to cut a couple inches off some tight off camber turns and could find no negatives. I had a wide mod but Greg suggested longer as well. Thank you Greg Harding. Watch for kick start clearance and widen to the rear to in effect move the peg back a bit. Now to do the same to my spare bike...........perhaps not as I loan it to compeditors more than I use it. HA! :D

Have you got a side-on pic of the bike, showing how you lowered them?

The pegs are stock height, just went wider and longer. Tried lowering them a while back and they felt good until I got into rough roots and rocks on off cambers where they would hang up so went to what you see.

Hi Everyone,

Takhli44, Had to look a couple of times at your photo, they are so close to mine! I agree with you the stock height is the best overall, Gordon Farley knew what he was doing back in the day. Wheelbase and steering geometry, I am not so sure about!

Great to see you are enjoying riding the RL, my loan RL is a real favourite, we now call it the local bike (everyone gets a ride!)
