New Trials Helmets

I searched the forum and did not come up with much on newer Trials Helmets.

A few days ago I had a "small" spill and hit my head. Ended up with a mild concussion. Realized that my trusted Bieffe had past away. Sooo.... I'm looking for a replacement. Helmets are kind of a personal thing, but I hope members can provide me some suggestions and experiences you might have had with these brands and/or models.

I looked at a number, but these are the ones I'm focusing on:

1. Top Fun Carbon
2. Nau N400 Overkill
3. Nau Power
4. Jitsie T1 series (extra liner provided)
5. Shiro. Appears on their Web site and in their catalog, they no longer make trials helmets.

Like many of us, my closest Trials shop is many hours from home so will have to have it shipped to me with no chance for fitting.

I think unless you are world class rider 1dont wear tights 2 only wear a MX type full face helmet I checked out a Fox mx helmet and it felt lighter then my open face. If you had a low speed crash and got concussed, your helmet must have beed very bad

I'm on my third SHIRO and have found them to be reasonably durable and if you dewater the steel parts regularly, they don't rust. I ride trials when it is hot and humid so good ventilation is important to avoid brain fade and the SHIRO seems to ventilate OK.
I have tried on all the non-trials open-face helmets and all were the wrong shape for my noggin and had no ventilation.
If you can get to a trial somewhere it can be a good opportunity to try on (other people's) helmets for fit and size.

I dont know if Hebo helmets are available in Australia,but I've had one for a while now and its well vented and has a removeable,washable liner.Top bit of kit,comfy too.

I can vouch for Boris opinion as he regularly crash tests all his Helmets :)

Sorry, I should have closed this thread a while back. After much research, feedback from you, non-responsive retailers in the US and UK I finally picked up a Carbon Fiber Top Fun from Ryan Young Products, US Sherco Importer.

A reasonable price considering the higher costs of other better known carbon manufacturers some of which have had some manufacturing issues.

It is an incredible helmet, light, great workmanship, beautiful fit and nice design. Soo comfortable great for sleeping and noise reduction in case the other half is noisy at night. LOL.

New to Trials as I have just bought a cota to restore.
Are there any road legal trials helmets ?
Alternately, are there any road legal helmets that are suitable for Trials (MX May be).
