Honda TL 250 colors ?

Post by jeolla »

Hi ,
Could anyone help me with the correct colors for a TL 250,76.
Some of these "trialbikes" exist here in Denmark and after looong dealings I now are renovating a good one. Still on original Bridgestone trialtyres hardly worn but of course
hard and brittle. Started up fine and sounding fine while plotting around the garten.
Apart from mudgards complete.
But for some strange reason the bike has been repainted . Frame black. Schoks red. Fork black .Fueltank red. Ect..
So do anyone have some codes/names for my colors?

Hi Jens, Before you rush into 'restoring' the machine you should try to research it's history as the odd colours may suggest some provenance which could add to the interest or the value of the machine. For example some works connections or specially prepared for a rider of some note or simply some ratbag with a can or two of cheap spray paint but once the patina is gone ,it's gone for good and with it some of the machines perhaps unique story.
GO CZ!

I do know the history of my little Honda. A Farmer bought 2 for general transport. Next a bloke bought one and then my seller who traded even for a very tired xl250r. I did knew this bike when I saw it. Long ago when I was campaigning a Bul 325 one of my mates had one. Heavy ect, but nice engine and general sweetness.. So here we are. And the present paint work seems rather crude and defently not EDDY or othernames. So my winteramusement go for a soft returning to former glory. And a maybe a return to some greybearded twinshocking. So any name for the darkish silverframecolour? Found under the black. And the red part of the fuel tank. Orange or red for a '76 model? The rest I think I have.
Last one: (So far..) The nice rear spocket . No subttitutes other than flat disk and spacer?
