my 2 cents worth......
If you have been running the bike with 25:1 oil ratio, I would be burning out the exhaust , muffler and checking the exhaust port for carbon deposits.
If you are keeping the bike for riding, you should entirely remove the premix system and run modern synthetic oil around the 50 to 70 to 1 ratio.
Its easy to check if you can remove the premix system without problems. as long as there is only one oil line feed to the inlet manifold, there will be no problem. it think that the RL's had an additional feed to the main bearings so that may cause problems.
We did this mod to a Yamaha PeeWee 80 some years ago and the bike actually had a power band after.
