Trials Riding Around Brisbane/SE Queensland

Hello Fellow Trials Riders,

I have recently purchased a Sherco Trials Bike, And would like to find out as many places as possible I can go ride the bike in my own free will. Either with membership/Entry Fee etc.

I used to ride back in the UK and there was a huge hillside we could practice at. Being fairly new to Queensland and wanting to get out on the bike as much as possible, Is there anyone out there getting out regularly at weekend's or know a place i can come along too????

Also please let me know which Queensland Trials Memberships are out there and which ones to join.

I'm just down the road from you in Chandler and for practice the only place I have found with no dramas is down the coast a little at Ormeau, lots of creeks, rocks and steep hills. I'm from the uk also, where abouts are you from.I will send you a pm with contact details if you want to give me a call I can give you directions.

Just be careful of private security out at Ormeau, They have been doing random blitzes there for the past few years. Having said that I havnt ever seen anyone.

Hey mate, not really, you can try ormeau, i take the 4x4 in there all the time with no issues. otherwise join a club (its only $30) and do some club trials

yep, we used to tinker around there a few years back. went back a month ago and there's a guy on regular patrol out there now. only a warning the first time, he took pics of the rego plate. got chatting and he says he's down there full time now and is also a local resident. at this stage the actual road through there is still gazetted so if you were on a registered bike and didn't deviate from the dirt road they may have trouble prosecuting in court. but it sounds like the owners are getting it all rezoned etc so that will change soon.
