TLR Kickstarter - Footpeg Clearance

Post by Any2wheels »

Hi All,
Any suggestions on replacing the kickstarter on my TLR200.
I've put on larger pegs but the kickstarter won't go through the full stroke now.
Would prefer not having to attach a spring to hold the peg up everytime I need to start it.

Thanks
I thought I could ride until I tried Trials

I put some XR400 pegs i got of ebay on my tlr 250 had to put some weld under them to raise them then just heated the end & tapped it to shape didn't take to much work & i think there great

I've got a couple of TLRs with modern pegs but I have moved the frame mounting point down and back for better handling as per- http://www.classictrial.co.uk/tlrfootrests.html
and this also solved the kick lever problem. I know its a big hassle but it is worth it. Cheers

Agree with Langy - Lowering the pegs is well worth the effort.
