The bike is called a Drayton Bantam manufactured by Jim Pickering in the UK Midlands area. I understand he has made about 50 of them so far and the engine capacity is up to 195cc with weight about 70kg's.
Jim has also introduced a 250 BSA C15 version and a Tiger Cub version is very close. There are numerous Drayton Bantams competing in the BMCA events that I ride in and they are extremely competitive and popular with all owners due to their light power / weight ratio.
They qualify for the Pre 65 Scottish over here but at the same time everything qualifies for that event it only needs to vaguely look like an old bike and your in !!!!
I think they would be very contraversial if bought over to Australia, but I can assure you George I was only testing the water and you didn't let me down
I'm more interested at the moment in my thoughts of starting a TS/Classic trials club in SE Qld and after each event lately with high scores and injuries amongst these riders I am getting more expressions of interest , I keep hammering the point, we need sections to suit these older bikes and older riders.
Anyone else interested in being involved in a new TS/Classic club in SE Qld to put on 5/6 exclusive events per season trying not to clash with existing club events, we might start to see some local heavyweights on this thread !!!!!!!!!!!!. Drop me an email, [email protected]
