Mine is a 1990 Honda TLM260rf which i have just finished, not many about so had a few problems getting some parts but i adapted some other Honda parts to fit and it worked out not to bad

Another South Aussie Aircooled Mono, must be something in the air down here, along with the fact we have a class to ride these bikes in this year,

304 found collecting dust in a shed just up the road from me yesterday, tempted to make owner an offer , But whats it worth ? As much as I wanna pay I suppose!! But is it a worthwhile project !! ??- Attachments

Check if the kickstart mechanism works before you make an offer.
Very few of this model was sold so don't expect to be able to get parts easily.
It looks like it might share a few parts with the 242, which was more popular
If you want an extremely rare bike for your project it would fit that requirement well

Thanks for info, will have a good look over the bike , and have a bit of a spin on it , to see how it goes before I make an offer!

Nice work. I have an original photo and letter from Lyall O'Brien introducing the Cota 304 in Feb. 1986 including the promotional specs at the time. I had a 242 at the time (bought from Lyall), so there was encouragement and desire (but no money) to upgrade. Anticipated retail at the time of release was AUD$3500.
Also have a Dirt Bike Rider glossy test by Martin Lampkin and report from the Allan Jeffries trial at which he rode the 304.
