Tests of the lanyard during competition/practice show that "fly swatting" or inadvertent engine cut off through normal arm extension will not occur

We recommend installing the lanyard style kill switch to all trials bikes for competition or not

I've accidentally disconnected mine a few times whilst riding over obstacles when I first fitted it.

It was user error though as I was letting the lanyard get wrapped around my wrist meaning only a small movement disconnected it. Now that I'm used to it no problems and its handy when the bike's in an awkward spot upside down to kill the engine

You shouldn't get through scrutineering if you don't have 1 installed would be my belief!?
