Shirts Out, Why?

I use to be in the party of riders who wore the random Billabong T-Shirts to trials but moved to wearing a proper trials jersey and I must say it's so much more comfortable. The material breaths better, doesn't stay wet with sweat and also the sleeves keep the sun off my arms which helps with dehydration and sunburn. I must admit I've never though about tucking it in but after a quick Google search it seems most riders do

This. at the end of the day no one in Australia is a professional rider so what does it really matter.

I'm sure that potential newcomers to the sport aren't going to be put off by the fact that some people wear T shirts .

Shivers, when I posted that a couple of years ago I was sh!t stirring a little bit, but I did think that we could present ourselves better. You never know who's driving down that country road one day and see's that small " Observed Trial" or "Moto Trial" sign on the side of the road directing them into a property, they need to be impressed whether they be future riders or someone that has a business that can help us somewhere down the track.
I applaud people like Revolution Trials that are trying to bring some professionalism into the sport.

I'll tuck my shirt in Rod

The shirt untucked or tucked is not a big thing for me. Mine usually starts out tucked in, and works it's way out. It was a little cooler at the TY challenge last weekend with the drizzle, so I had a longer work shirt on, it stayed about half tucked in.

I think the main reason our shirts become untucked is because of the length. I have a little more.... 'ballast' around the middle and maybe a contributor to my shirt coming untucked.

Ian it's good to see you have finally seen sense, got yourself a proper trials bike and joined the warbler brigade

An interesting observation of Ian Rogers riding all those years ago. Very little clothing but wearing gloves. Gloves are not required for trials riders in the MoMs even now. So it is nothing to do with safety but for feeling the control of the motorcycle. I guess the gumboots were to stop hurting bare feet on serated footpegs. I guess somethings are important.
