Australian Trial Championship - Weather Forecast

Post by paulm »

Hi All

The latest weather / flood forecasts have just been published:

Details here http://www.smh.com.au/environment/weath ... j8nz5.html

Please head the warnings by the event organisers but it certainly looks like all should be OK.

Here's to a great weekend...

Absolutely - spectators are most welcome.
Gates open at 7:30 - competition starts at 10:00 each day.
There is good catering available including hot food and all the 'facilities' available around the course.
Entry fee is $5:00 per person.
Hope to see you there.

Cheers

Does anyone know if there is any problems with the road through Galston Gorge?

Don, I presume you mean out of the ordinary - it is always a 'pain the ass' road, particularly in when it's day or night, and raining or dry, and trailer or unencumbered!

No, it should be okay. The rising water is not due to local rain volume - we've had a good drop but nothing like the south coast which also feeds in to Warragamba Dam and it is this that's spilling in to our local river systems.

Also, I drove past the problem areas on the way to work this morning at 6am as I live near PP. The Little Cattai Creek (near the S bends just south of Riverside Oaks golf course) has risen as has Cattai Creek (near Cattai school coming out of Pitt Town and Maraylya) but are still well below the road level.
