Attention Suzuki RL-250 owners

Post by lorenzo »

I have found a company that is reproducing rubber items for vintage Motorcycles .

They have dozens and dozens of various items and some of you probably already know this.

The company is called claussstudios.com specializing in molded rubber and plastic parts.

The contact is Greg Clauss [email protected] 760-949-6659 M-F 7AM-3PM PST U.S.A.

They have agreed to reproduce the hand grips and shifter rubber boot for the RL but they need an example to duplicate them. They will even have the S on them just like the originals.

I don't have a good example of both Left and right hand grip but I think I can get another shifter rubber to loan them.

So my question is do any of you have a set you could loan to them. You will probably get a set for free for helping but I cant speak for them, that's usually how this works.

I have been looking for these hand grips for a long time and haven't found any that are good enough for this project or I would do it my self.

Any body have a set???

This might sound obvious but have you tried buying from a Suzuki shop? I searched for ages for some kind of grips that looked like the original handlebar grips for a 1975 TY250, and eventually found out that I could buy them over the counter from my local Yamaha shop
In the case of the RL250 from memory they are the same grips as what came on 1974 TM125 and TM250 Suzuki MX bikes
relax, nothing is under control

Well I finally found an N.O.S. hand grip.

David, I looked everywhere they just don't exist these days I guess.

Well anyway, I'm going to proceed with getting some reproduced.

Is anyone interested in having a set besides my self ?
