There is plenty of Carbon to choose from, but there are probably easier ways than Carbon Dating!

Looks like it could be a 1964 K10 80cc.

It's either an 80 or a 120. I'm thinking the latter, probably a B100 or B100P (P for pump = oil injection), tho I've not seen one with those double down-tubes before.

If it's an 80 (K10, K11 or K15) as far as I can tell they were available in '64 as George says.

If its a 120, I believe the B100 came out in '65 & the B100P in '66. It could also be a B105 if it has a high pipe but they didn't have the enclosed chain & ran dual rear sprockets. The B105 I believe came out in '67. These are all eligible for Pre68. There was a later B120 too which is all-but identical to the B100P & therefore eligible for P68, but I think they had a diff shaped tank.

So would it be eligible for pre '65? Sorry no photos of the other side but motor photo indicates the pipe goes Down? Also can you explain dual rear Sprockets?

Greg, it looks to me like its a B100 or B100P roadie from the pic(s), & appears to be in fairly good condition apart from the forks looking sagged (no springs??).

I reseacrched their eligibility considerably when I posted the lists for Pre65 & Pre68 on the 2015 Proposed Rule Changes thread & to the best of my knowledge the 80 is legit for Pre65, but the 120 is not. I'd be about 98% certain on both counts.

I've not seen any evidence anywhere of any 120 model being available anytime in '64. But some of the 120 models are eligible for Pre68 - B100, B105 & B120. (The dual range engine (2x3speed) from the KT120 is not eligible; neither is the later TC120 model.)

You have stumbled on the second clue with the forks in the fixed position and yes it was done on Purpose! The first clue was next to the shock in the photo.

Here is another: Although the bike has been ridden quite a bit in its 50 odd years, it has never achieved any Distance!

I thought my eyes were playing a trick there because it looked like the rear suspension was being held rigid with some sort of brace. Now we know the bike was used for an unusual purpose, lateral thinking might begin to solve your delicious mystery

David, Well done, chalk one up for lateral thinking or thinking outside the box or inside the Globe in this Case! Yes front forks have a brace from sliders to triple clamps locking front suspension and rear has limiting chains allowing suspension to compress, but not droop too far.We were on our way to a Trial about 5 years ago when I spotted the Globe through trees on private property and had to stop. Knocked on the front door and met Rod, very friendly and gave an impromptu demo which was excellent as I had never seen one so close up and was surprised how much the Globe moves with your hand resting on It!
Skip forward to recently when we were going past again, my curiosity about the bike got the better of me and we asked Rod if we could post photos. When Rod told me he had been riding the 120 since he was 15 and is now 65 got me wondering about pre '65?

The Globe was made by Rod's father with a hammer and a piece of railway iron hand beating every Piece! Which to me is very impressive as it is perfect from any Angle!
