If you ever have to do that again, try to get another indicator. Have two makes it go faster and you can tell if your run-out is in-sync or out-of-sync with each side.

Thqnks but if I ever have to do it again it will be a new rod so will give the lot to Bob. Just wanted to see if I could. I'd rather lace a wheel and they are not that much fun either.

This head is for the registerable model so comes with a thermostats. I may add a few more bye pass holes and use the thermostat. The trailtech will record and display my running temperatures so I t they get to high is can take it out.

Did you wind up using the thermostat? I've thought about modifying the head to use one, just haven't pulled the trigger on that yet.

I had it kicking around the bench for months while I debated it's usefulness and came to the conclusion that it's only good for cold weather. We just don't get enough of that and once warmed it runs around 70 to 85c which is a good range. So no I dident.

Did you end up making a KIPS spacer and if so what did you find for your set up which is?

No I havent. It is too cold for riding right now. And my workshop is unheated and I dont enjoy being out there this time of year.

Was this a 220 piston in the 200 cylinder? Or was it a different sized piston?

It's a A size 220 piston in a 200 barrel which means next one I put in will be a B.

They do make a 1mm oversize 220 piston which brings it out to 225cc. I can't see that being a problem.

The thing is the 200 barrels are ported for mid to top end and the 220 barrels are ported for bottom end (lower transfer and exhaust ports etc). Having said that there are plenty of ways to tune a 200 barrel for bottom end and still retain the top end flightiness
