Anyway, I remember looking at your "plate" of kickstarters with the broken Italjet kickstarter and I came across this that you maybe interested in! Happy Days, just what I am After! Great ITALJET[sup][/sup] action shot by the Way!

Now I can slap you with a new challenge for this Easter like our Heavyweight 4 Stroke Juggernaut Challenge 2 Easters Ago! Your :ossa 350 against my ITALJET 350, actually it is only 325 cc Apparently! Not sure what to call it, (open for suggestions), maybe 300 plus cc Challenge? Anyone else up for it?

Here is where I am up to with the PIUMA as you are probably wondering why the piston is out! After breaking the kickstarter, I decided to fit a decompressor........

Can't wait to hear the farting noise Greg, although you have tucked it away fairly neatly there so it might not be that noisy for onlookers. Mark Casswell will be impressed that you also have a working decompressor.
My 300cc+ bike probably won't be ready in time for the Easter trial.
As for challenging Chippy to ride his :ossa 350 against your ITALJET, it sounds a bit unfair knowing that yours is actually called "feather". I've not heard anyone yet call an :ossa a "feather"

Eagle, have you any progress photos of your TLR motor?

David, how much is the hydroblasting for the engine covers? Yes you are correct again David, I have never heard :ossa referred to as "feather" either. I am always up for a challenge though.

Greg, I think I need a decompression valve on my Italjet as well! Might have to do some trading on maybe Italjet Kickstarter!!

I've got some more photos of that green Italjet in action at the same event and also of David Goldsmith on a white :montesa , Paul Moore (who won that event) on a 349 red :montesa , Steve Hope on a :yamaha TY250. Possibly one of Shane Mitchell on a blue Bultaco. Just a shame I can't get clear photos of those photos.

Darren Creswell, you have done a brilliant job on your Italjet. Looking forward to seeing it in the flesh.

There was TY175 clutch cover, oil pump cover, magneto cover and the carby for $120. They were done on the inside as well, which I wasn't expecting

Thanks for that Greg! i think i'll have to take some pictures of the frame & the new mudguards & petrol tank i'm going to install & a few other things

Chinese carbs for 175 ty are they a good match I am restoring 4 175 motors I will also need to source throttle cables clutch cables and break any help with leads to finding these parts would be greatly appreciated

Brake and clutch cables were available from Yamaha shops last time I tried. The throttle cable will need to be chosen to suit the twistgrip you are using
I haven't tried the chinese carby yet

Greg I had a look in the Italjet book today and the 250`s have a bore and stroke of 71mm x 60mm with a capacity of 237.55 cc. The 350`s have 83.7mm x 60mm and are 330.13 cc. The 250`s do have a chrome bore whereas the 350 is a iron liner. So there you go. Graham.

In case anyone is looking to source a replacement TY250 flywheel cover, I noticed that John Cane has had some near-replicas cast in aluminium
