Frame welding

Post by S.E.Lucas »

I'd just like to know what my frame is made of. One of the little tab things that are meant to hold the bash plate on is almost broken off.

Hi Lucas,

The Sherco is Chrome-molybdenum. Chromed finish (type/mix if steel). I think you can have it welded as normal but it will be dull after that. But I don't suppose that will matter, seeing as it is under the bike.

Best of balance.

Did that PA beat me to a post????

I was too busy riding today and he gets me. I think a tig would be best but a mig should be ok! But don't let anyone near it with an ark unless they are really good.
