Gents, bro has some gear selection problems on his TL125. Changes up OK but difficulty changing down, especially selecting 3rd & 1st. (He has an SL125 engine with similar problems)
Any Honda officiandos on here know if tha'ts a common problem on those engines? And what the cause is?

Sounds like the gearshift return / centreing spring is not doing its job. Simple check, if you can gently lift the gear shift lever up (as far as you can without shifting up), then push down and it shifts down OK, the return spring is almost certainly the culprit.
