Re: Rod's Bike Shed
Hi Everyone,
Did someone mention Coffs Harbour?
There is a theme that I have noticed with the last few tests, for some reason Rod has an example of most if them in his bike shed.....
Apparently there are 2 x GREEN and 2 x RED instead of WHITE like in the test.

Re: Magazine Articles
All of these years later, I am falling in love all over again with this magazine!
Here is the test between Mick Andrews bikes that helped this young teenager decide which bike to ride and the results were lasting as I still own my first

Re: Magazine Articles
A bit off topic, sorry, but as a long-time rider of litre+ road bikes recently forced onto a 300cc bike by arthritis, that last page from a magazine article made me smile: "the brute strength of its 250cc engine"

I intend to live forever. So far, so good.

Hi Greg, I need the photo to keep the memory alive. It is poster size and lives in the man cave.
Yes, a Montesa 172, the original red one. Could never get my head around them being any other colour. Anyway, bought it new in late 1976. Brand new - $950.
It was an aftermarket bashplate. The shape of a large shovel. Plastic. Served me well.
I suffered the same kick starter shaft fail as many others did. The original shaft had the groove all the way around and didn't take long to shear off. It was replaced under warrenty with one that had a short groove on one side of the shaft. Served well for many years. The kick starter was off a Cota 123.
Old trials riders never die ......... their rocks just get smaller.
