Guys
I am attempting to get a rough example of an Italjet Scott 350 4 stroke trials bike running again. I need to know some service details such as how much oil goes into it and where? Plug type, tappet clearance, etc.
I know there are a few out there somewhere. Any parts considered.
thanks
Phil

There is a bloke who rides one in trials local to me,can't remember his name. Hopefully he will be at our next trial on March 11th,if I see him I'll ask if he has a manual or knows capacities and settings.
I remember seeing them brand new for about £1250, I even had a brochure for them somewhere, was quite tempted at the time.

There was a couple of them getting around in Oz trials back in the day, mainly with a sidecar attached is how I remember them.
Try the Trials Central forum, bit more of an International audience over there, you might get a lead.
Try also an email to Steve Goode in the UK, he was an Italjet dealer and is still active.

If you send a PM to Chippy on here, he owns one. He is on the Twinshock and Classic forums. Have a look under Magazine Articles and Basket Cases. Graham.

Re: Italjet scott 350 parts and technical
thanks guys,
my bike did have a trials chair on it originally and came from South Australia. I got a response from the UK dealer telling me that italjet never supplied any manuals for the scott - which doesn't surprise me at all. I went to the Italjet factory in 2000 and couldn't get anything then either. So what did people do I wonder - just measure the oil when it came out, and check the tappet clearance when new?

I took this picture last weekend at a local VMCC autojumble, this bike belongs to a trials mate of mine,(I didn't know he owned it) he had it up for sale for £3495. Its never been used...
By coincidence the venue at Shepton Mallet was where I originally saw them for sale, company was Johnson's Cables.

Hi guys I'm new to this forum as I've just acquired an Italjet Scott. I know this thread is a year or so old but I'm hoping to find some more information rather than just scouring ebay for bits and pieces. Thanks and I'll post a photo on here soon.
Cheers
Tony
