Sherco ST300 2014 - exhaust baffle blocking/smoking up

Hi Everyone,

I have a strange problem happening with my Sherco ST300 2014. (Haven’t had chance to contact Don as it happened again this afternoon)

My baffle/exhaust keeps blocking up, first time back in November the tip melted and packing inside caught on fire just before it happened fuel shot out the carby. We replaced tip and packing inside and all okay back to normal. This afternoon same thing has happened again pissed out fuel from carb and smoked out exhaust (no flame) and tip didn’t melt.

We have tried 2 different types of packing.
Really confused. Any ideas?

Sounds like a fire hazard. Get it checked properly by a reputable mechanic before it ends up a charred mess.

Mixture of things

Wrong spark plug
Too much packing
Something or other with the carby
