Hi David,

Interesting that you put the Beta 200 in the same department as the SY250, TYS125/175 ….I fully support this opinion and favor these bikes too. As you well know, I’ve spent a lot of time taming the Lion in my Sherco 290 (and I’ve really enjoyed it too!) and I know now it wasn’t the best bike for me. But once purchase, I was suck with it. So I’ve made the best of what I have. And this will hopefully make me stay with then Sherco for some time. Instead of just hopping from one bike to another. And I’ve certainly learnt a lot about clutch control. :P

I think it must be hard for any importer to make a good margin with all the shipping charges to Oz. So I’m not surprised they have to minimise the options on the bikes, to get more bikes in each shipping batch.

I’ll keep you all posted. And if I’m entertaining a few people, it's nice to know I’m doing something right. ....and who knows, someone out there might think I've come up with a good idea

Best of balance.

Hi All,

My son and I have ridden my Sherco quite a few times since this last post.

For us novice riders it’s like riding a different bike…and we still haven’t found any major downsides.
And turning on a camber (up or down hill) is so much easier now.

If you see me at a comp, please stop me, and ask for a test ride (this invitation is for you too David :D ). I’m just keen to know what other riders think.

"taming the lion"

phoowee ali you needed to do was put up a gear and slip the clutch and take the front forks out and ride on one wheel. That gives all the ground clearance you need and front end geometry don't matter at all!
