RM250A. George was sponsored by John Walmsley to ride this bike for the 1977 season. I can't remember everything that had been done to it, but some things were the forks had been modded in some way to increase the travel, the motor was somehow hotted up (maybe a different ignition) and it had a special aluminium swingarm which had been made by Brisbane metal fabricating whiz Vern Grayson. RM370A with the same design special swingarm. For those who don't know, at the time, John was a recent ex-Aussie MX champion who ran a motorbike shop at Capalaba. From memory the shop started as Maico then was

.Vern was a sidecar MX racer at the time and I still remember enjoying spectating while Vern Grayson and Georgina Reeves flew around Tivoli MX track on a Yamaha powered sidecar.
John is the one with the dark open face helmet and mouthguard. George has the white Moto 3 helmet.
I think I took these photos at the practice track at John's farm at Mount Cotton.
