Hey guys, I'm new here and completely new to the world of trial bikes. My 6yo son has been keen on dirt bikes forever, but I want to steer him in the direction of trials.
I'm specifically looking for an electric model as we have to keep the volume down. I've been told Oset are a good make, but no clue when they'll be back in stock...
Could anyone please recommend other good brands for electric trial bikes as I have no clue where to start. Thanks so much! :)

TRS make an incredibly good Electric Trials bike in a 16 inch size that would suit your young fella.

There is an 2019 Oset 16 with lithium battery upgrade on Trials Bikes for sale Fb page.

Thanks heaps guys, both look like great bikes, though I'll likely go with the TRS due to location of the FB seller.
A question regarding sizing...
Is it basically the same as for bicycles? All the charts seem to say:
age 4-6 - 16"
age 5-8 - 20"
My boy is average height, maybe slightly tall, and so based on the above, I'm wondering if we could get away with a 20"? He'd obviously get more life out of it, but I wouldn't want it to be too big/unwieldy and difficult to learn on. Just double checking before I lock in a 16".
Thanks again!

Re: Best trial bike for my 6yo son?
I have new stock of 20's coming in the next week or two (boat arrives in port 23rd Sept), so you could bring him around to size it up if you like.
I have 16's in stock now.
I'm a firm believer in not giving them TOO MUCH bike though when they are learning and scaring them off. It's kind of better if they are the Master and the Bike is the Slave rather than the other way around!

Re: Best trial bike for my 6yo son?
That makes a lot of sense. Plus, I've been looking at lot of 16 vs 20 pics, and 20 just looks too big. Going to go with 16. His mum will be in touch with you guys tomorrow. Thanks for the help!

It can be said that children's electric bicycles are an amazing tool to help children go faster and farther than their little feet can carry them. And I think at 6 years old, the STACYC 16e Drive Brushless seems to give him the right speed.
Re: Best trial bike for my 6yo son?
I thought a little bit about the Oset or Stacy bikes. Haven't looked too hard at them yet though. How is it with the Oset not having a real "seat"?
Kids under 12 don't need to have an operators course, but need to be with an adult and just cannot cross a road (not a big deal).
I thought there was a way out of reg for small bikes under 90 or 100cc or something, but I'm not sure about that now and would have to do some research in these articles. I've got/enough trails behind my house to keep him entertained for while that I hadn't checked that into that much yet. I haven't off-road reg'd mine since I usually get my fix at jday/HS/turkey runs and such.
As far as places, most of the ones labeled as rail trails are pretty straight and flat. Some of the other places have fairly easy trails too (Pisgah, etc). The "TB" next to the name means "Trail Bikes" are permitted.
