Hi All Beta 80 owners,
I have just found out that the fuel cap after some time becomes blocked and will not let air into the tank .
The cap has a small disc up inside the extended plastic housing, with 6 small holes.
Some plastics absorb liquids and swell over time, our bike was great when new but over time started to bog down and stall.
This was very apparent after long transport sections when a vacuum would form in the tank , and then would die as if out of fuel
Take the breather hose off the cap , insert a small pin punch in the top hole and knock the plastic disc out, drill the holes to 2mm, make sure you remove all swarf and derby from the new holes.
I could not even get air through the cap with the air compressor prior to drill the cap holes
