Post by Steven_A »

Hi All,
Any suggestions for options to get the rear brake control up onto the handlebars.

A few people were using a handle bar rear brake on the early EM`s. That means they must be out there. A clutch master cylinder would probably work.

The Clutch master cylinder option works for the electric bikes with no clutch. So you have both brakes on the handlebars like a mountain bicycle.
This bike is a TRS250 presumably with a clutch. So it gets tricky operating both with the left hand.
One option is the Clake dual left arrangement. This disengages the clutch in the first part and then applies the rear brake in the last part of the stroke. Costs a bit.
Another option is the thumb operated rear brake on the right side. Mick Doohan used that in MotoGP. Not sure how it would work for trials. Not sure where to get one.
Not very helpful but you could chase up these ideas.
Cheers,
