Australian Mountain Bike Championships - Including TRIALS

Hi All,

I'd like to let you know that the Canberra Off Road Cyclists (CORC) are hosting the Australian Mountain Bike Championships in Stromlo Park -Canberra.

The events get underway on this Wednesday (24 January) with the main competitions being held over the (long) weekend.
The Australian (pushbike) Trials Championships will be held on Saturday 27th, 10am - 6pm. There are some interesting and challenging sections set with a variety of lines to suit all grades of riders.

Spectators are more than welcome. Each of the 4 disciplines - Observed
Trials (OT), Cross Country (XC), Down Hill (DH) and Mountain Cross (MX) will provide spectacular viewing and adrenalin stimulation !!! There will also be on site catering.

The organisers are also looking for volunteers to help and support the
smooth running of this National event. - Contact details are on the referred websites.
The organisers are also hoping that the staging of this event will be a
fore-runner in their bid to hold the WORLD MTB (including Trials)Championships in Canberra!!

I would strongly encourage potential spectators, volunteers and riders to
consider attending this event. - Children are welcome and encouraged ....

If you might be interested in competing, entries for any of the events will
be taken on the day. - Please contact the organisers. - The Trials discipline only has a handfull of entrants so far,..... So if you think you can ride a non-motorised bike, consider giving it a go !!

The Stromlo Park Site can be accessed from Uriarra Road, 50 metres past the Coppins Crossing / Uriarra road intersection. (NOT from the Mt Stromlo road).
