Easter Weekend - Fancy riding with a family?

Post by Neo »

Calling all and any riders in ACT.

The family and I are coming down to visit the Trials Capital over the Easter Weekend (actually Thursday to Monday, possibly Tuesday). And we'd like to have the opportunity to ride with some good Trials folk and learn a new trick or two ;-)

Don and Bev known us lot and will vouch for the fact that we are just a family of 5. Four of which ride trials (2 MotorTrials and 2 PushyTrials). I'd like to say we're normal. But alas, in this day and age, riding Trials is not considered normal

We're open to suggestions and offers :D. If you fancy meeting someone new, to ride on your beloved rocks. Or even if you can just point us in the direction of a good secluded riding place, we would be very grateful ^W^

Hope this post in not too forward, but if you do fancy taking the plunge please drop me a Private Message.

Best of balance.

Neo
PS. We don't want to be a burden to anyone...just looking for a fun day

Hi Neo,

Why not continue your journey a bit further south to the 'real' Trials Capital :VIC: :P  and set up camp at Glenmaggie? Plenty of trials happening there!

Cheers!
Keith.

Hey Keith,

Thanks for the offer....I'd love to....but I'll have to make it next time.

I'd also be interested, to see for myself, your claim to "Trials Capital".
From what I've seen of whet TCC is doing with it's young riders. And the way riders share their resources....this would be hard to beat.

Don't be a mug!! Anyone that can still stand on the pegs for two days in the ACT will be at Glenmaggie!!!!

They swarm down here to steal trophies of us (and the SA and Tassie crowd) at the best trial in the country. I made sure last year I kept them at bay! No Clubman trophy got nicked then! Come down here and get a day licence or a Rec (for the two days) and have some real fun. I think you will find plenty of families there (around 50!!!!!!!!)

Hell it might even rain again :?

Hey BJ,

Look, I really appreciate what you and Keith are saying and I've no doubt that I would have a good time in VIC. But Canberra is on the (other) activities list for my family. So Canberra it has to be.

But after the warm welcome that you and Keith have given me. VIC is a visit for next time, for sure.

I've just come back from 2 days in Melbourne (business trip, without my bike :( ). What happening to the weather down there…. I might consider moving down there if this continues.

hi Neo, you and family are more than welcome in the ACT neck of the woods, I dont know yet if I will be around but keep a look out here and i'll let you know where the action is anyway which will probably be the "secret location somewhere near Canberra" where there is endless trials riding, if you like rocks, creeks, rocks, small rocks, big rocks, hills with rocks and the occassional red bellied blacks, more rocks, roos and even sometimes emu's, oh and in case I didnt make it clear enough, ...rocks...

So stayed tuned and we'll see how things pan out...
