This one is weird because none of these Montesa Cota 348s was ridden by it's owner at the event - see caption

Smack did you think you would have a private holiday in Queensland? Sorry about that.
No-one is safe when Starky gets his camera out as you will soon see.

Here is Ian Manskie in his full period riding gear with Jeff Eckert.
How is that for an authentic bike too - shockies so stiff it might as well be a rigid frame, forks with what looked like 2" of undamped travel and a 19" rear (speedway) tyre just to have the right look for 1957.

This KT had mechanical problems so didn't quite make the start. It would have been the first trial for owner John. Good to see KTs being used in competition.

Wayne must have been in love with his borrowed TY175B from Steve Hall as he and Helen took heaps of photos of it. Here is one of Wayne with a few willing catchers at the ready for his bank climb.

I couldn't resist telling a bit more about this fancy looking TY250C of Mark Levinge.
It probably isn't visible in this photo but the whole exhaust is polished stainless steel made as a replica of the original Yamaha exhaust. The whole bike is just amazingly well finished all over. Even the bashplate has been polished. The metallic blue colour looks great in the sunlight. I wouldn't be game to ride a bike like that but Mark did. When Mark got a bit wobbly in the sections everyone nearby made a dash to catch the bike in case it hit something!
If anyone else has good photos of this bike, especially of the right hand side, please post them on the forum.

OK last one for tonight
This is Steve Hall on his Bultaco that is a bit of a composite and goes very well. From memory it has a 250 Alpina motor in a Sherpa T frame with a shortened wheelbase courtesy of a swingarm from an earlier model Sherpa T.

Its fantastic to see the support and events over your way in twinshocks, something of a void over here. Top marks to you David to share this with us with your info and photos, it keeps my enthusiasm going! :D
I would rather push my twinshock than ride a modern!
