I went nuts taking photos of it - Tharyn should have them all at home. I'm currently in a Caravan in Cloncurry, so not much bandwidth, and a total lack of photos. But prod Tharyn, she'll upload 'em!

pic of the right side whilst being ridden! Great credit to this guy... he put this body on the line many a times in order to avoid hurting his beloved TY.

And a pic of me without my feet down 8)

Shayne

Thanks for the pictures of Mark and yourself. I am still using you as an example for my wife to get into trials. I also see you in a number of other galleries here on this site now I know who you are. :D

It would be great to see more ladies in the sport. I mean they don't have to ride to the level of upper grades... (even though that'd be awesome!) it just would be great to see more participation.

Trials at a basic level is not a difficult thing to do. It improves balance, co-ordination, and do a degree your sense of vision. The need to be aware of your surroundings (ie rocks, terrain, tape, wheel placement, etc..) is such a vital aspect of trials. You find yourself developing a far better spacial awareness after riding a few times. (So for the women 'drivers' out there... this could help out you too 8) )

Older styles of bikes are great to start on, so if they are uncomfortable they can always sit down on the seat until they are able to develop the strength in their legs to stand up. Otherwise I started on a GasGas160 and it was a brilliant little thing.

Let's hope you can get your wife to join the dark side!
