Yes The event seems a huge successs....
Funny how "inverting" the rules can make the state of play change.
It changed the riders focus from minimising losses to maximising gains!!
It also kept riders in the sectiion longer than usual (for most)...so more was gained from experiencing the sections.
Thanks for puting up the short video on You Tube....
The event was not far removed from the old PINBALL games...
For those of us old enough to remember - Elton John & The Who in TOMMY....(Not to be confused with Tombowler..as in the game of Marbles)
Maybe the best point scorer on the day could get a "TOMMY" award???
(Does anyone have a DVD of this Classic?)
Is there more than a passing resembelance of a blind Pinball Wizard and a trials Rider who closes their eyes when they attempt a section gate?
Any thoughts as to when the next Open Free Trial might be?
Perhaps the next Kiama / Wollongong Trial could be conducted along the same rules???
Over to you
