A more helpful response might be that, yes they break, but most of us modify the attachments (either before or shortly after breaking the first one) so that they break /release before the part itself. The plastic panel pins used to secure car engine under trays can be handy, as can plastic cable ties. Hope this helps

Also cutting a small notch out of the two rear guard fixing holes works, so whenever there is any excess pressure applied the guard slips out from around the two bolts relieving said pressure!

I have probably decided on a Beta. Not exactly sure why myself out of the other options of a Gas Gas and Sherco.
Could be that I have an attraction to Italian bikes. They just look good. ( a Ducati and MV Agusta)
Now I have to decide on a 4T or 2T.
Was leaning to the 2T due to a bit lighter and easier to work on.
With the 4T though, no pre- mix, maybe a bit quieter and gear selection maybe not as critical.
Any thoughts on 2 or 4 stroke?

Both 2 and 4 stroke Betas are very nice to ride. The 300 4T is certainly blissfully quiet.
