Children, you lot need to discover the benefits of a sliding hammer and hot melt glue, and a MECHANICS stethoscope , believe me you will never look back

Oh yes ... Now I remember!

As a naive 14 year old (many would say little has chanced over the forthcoming 40 years) I watched aghast as my TY250 tank suddenly "unfolded" as a result of my enthusiastic use of the air compressor in an unsuccessful attempt to restore both the tank shape and my pride.

Not such a good day that one.

Alastair.

C'mo Pop, give us the 'gen' with the hot-melt and slide hammer.
I'm assuming the slide hammer shaft is anchored in the glue which is also glued to the tank dent, and when cool, the slide hammer is used to pull out the dent?
The panel lads now use those suction cups to do the same thing.
And some blokes also weld a rod to the panel, then give that a good tug (to coin a phrase).
Or have I got the wrong end of the sausage?!

"a MECHANICS stethoscope"
Ooooh, is that one of those things my doctor gets out just after he tells me to drop my dacks and bend over?
