Alastair, it seems you are on to my motivation as I had kept a Trail and Track magazine from my youth that had a 4 way comparison of Japanese 250s and I have looked and looked on multiple ocasions and I still don't know where it Is! All these years on and having owned, worked on and competed on all 4 models makes me even more curious! So hopefully we can build an electronic library with an existing forum search facility so we can find articles in the Future?

Knowing it is early stages yet, BUT, IF we judged THE BEST on magazine articles alone using most praised and least criticized, we have a clear winner in the HUMBLE Bultaco M49

Come on Greg, get over all that pseudo trials bike drivel, here is a magazine test of a REALtrials bike, a that was the "superbike" of 1976, and features REAL aussie trials expert Frank Hull who has been riding one since they came out
