I use a solution of baby bottle Milton to clean my drink bladder. Tip here is to buy the Home Brand equivalent that is dirt cheap for 1 litre.
I always rince the bladder after the ride that night, then add a capfull of solution and fill with water. Then rinse out that night of next day, then hang bladder to dry out in the laundry, not in the sun.
It does leave a bit of a mild after taste as its basically a bleach base, better than a crook gut next time you ride.
