SE Lucas,
If your getting clutch slip, either the plates are worn,or the master cylinder is not set properly, and no type of oil will fix that.
There must be some play between the lever and the master cylinder, so as the hydraulics are not applying pressure ,and causing clutch to partially dis-engage ,or slip. If plates are worn they can be measured to see if they are below recommended thickness and may need replacing.

Simply, you'd get clutch drag (not slip). Is Clutch drag what you're describing?
I'm testing a new oil for this (Pennziol has been discontinued by Repco and no one else seems to stock it).

Drag is when you pull it in but it still keeps moving a bit right? I get the one where I accelerate and it just revs. I'm pretty sure it's the plates but I was hoping there might be something else it could be.
I haven't got around to fixing it since I've been working full time in Botany. I either have no money or no time, I can't win

Bugger....
I threw away a set of 290 clutch plates only the other day. They were used (but still in very good condition) but I thought that I never have a use for them. And you could have had them for nout..
I gotta stop having these garage clear-outs the wife insist on
If your sure the lever is adjusted with some slack. Then I'd say the plates are the most likely thing.
Have a chat to Don...I don't think they were that expensive....

I found out that Repco has stopped supplying Pennzoil 5w30 but I found Castrol EDGE Sport 5w30 at SuperCheap Autos. And have been testing it out these past couple of months.

It is also Fully Synthetic. And I must say that "it’s the best".
I didn’t happen for a week or so, but I can now click my bike straight into first from stone cold and stay stationary. I guess the clutch plates took some time to fully soak in this oil.
It has also changed the feel of the clutch too. Less movement is required to go from dis-engaged to engaged. But it's quite smooth. That works well for me on my Sherco but I’m not sure how it will work for other bikes.
