Thanks for everyone's assistance. I reckon I would have been happy with a Sherco, Scorpa or any modern bike after reading all the insights so far.

I found one today, in Mirboo North, where I live. I've got a Beta agent in town =D> . Dave has a couple at the right price and condition. So I stretched the budget a bit, with some convincing  of the family bookeeper, to get an 04 Rev3 250, next week, if it all checks out. Now I just have to get it paid off and work out how to stay on it.

I look forward to meeting many of you at an event in the near future.

Cheers
Kem

I got to test ride my new bike today. Ended up putting the deposit down on the 04 Beta Rev3.

A bit weird kick starting a left hand hander, been to lucky with lecky buttons for the last few bikes. Once it was sparked up though, pure joy.

Best thing i've ever ridden, I couldn't believe how easy it was. Not intimidating like the CR250, being the last 2T I rode. Got into a few 8's and cruising around Dave's garden. Dave had done all the lubing before I got there, so it's ready to go. I'm hoping to have it in the shed by Wednesday, if not sooner.

See you at a Vic event soon.
