Someone from down south has been trying to sell a tidy looking Italjet twinshock trials outfit for the last few weeks on eBay.

It is/was in Victoria. It was a non-runner but seemed to be complete except for a kick starter (hard to find). I've got the fellows contact details if anyone wants them. I contacted him when it was first advertised on ebay and watched a twice more as it seemingly sold and then was readvertised. I do not know for sure if it sold this last time but it went for $880. He was initially chasing a thousand but was negotiable. A similar era Italjet that ran but needed work sold for about $600 on the Gold Coast.

Hi Guys, by chance that same italjet sidecar now resides just down the road from me. I dropped in too see a mate of mine yesterday and he was happy to show me his new toy.
It does need a kickstart lever and he is looking at either adapting another make/model lever or making a new knuckle for the lever, he runs a small engineering business from home so it won't be too hard for him to fix.
cheers

I dare say a TLR250 would be an ideal bike for a chair!

Can't beat the engine braking of a 4 stroke downhill !

Especially on the TLR!! The engine braked so hard they would almost throw you over the handlebars when the throttle was shut off.

Got nuthin done today. Had to go clothes shopping for the new job - yuk!

Booked in for frame welding tomorrow arvo. I'll have to work out how to strengthen the area where the top tube joins with the two tubes from the shock mounts. They are broken right through. I reckon some 1.2mm plate gussets should do the job. I'll try to remember to take the picture taking device.

I should have taken a photo of the cracks beforehand, but I forgot the camera. I welded the cracks and then added a simple triangular gusset over the offending tubles. Should be enough clearance for the electrics. I may drill it to provide some cable tie attachments (and reduce weight. ). Next job is the paint shop.
