Hey Peter,
how are you??? Long time no see! I hope you are thinking of returning to the fray? Turn up to any trial & there are many old faces from the 70's, riding or watching. You would be surprised, they just keep popping up!
Hopefully, we will all see you soon in the Masters or twinshock class??
Catch ya!
Bev

Its funny Peter Luscombes name should come up. Maury Dewar is my grandfather, he rode against Peter and Dave Hurst in the 70s. Pop has had many stories of the huge amount of talent peter had, supposedly rode with a bald back tyre most times.

Peter Paice...your name sounds familiar...

I remember my old man mentioning possibly your name once before when i bought my Ty250...

My dad used to ride a TY250 in the mid 70s, his name is Garry Hudson.....i could be wrong, but your name rings a bell for some reason...

he used to ride with another bloke named Kevin williams, on a Ty175.....mostly out at menai....

If your father rode at Menai in the 70s he would have seen me because if I was not at a Trial I was practising there with friends. We used to see guys sitting around watching us on Trail bikes , then they would turn up the next week on new TYs.
The sport became so popular that it was difficult to find your own bike after walking a section. The driving force that made it so popular around the whole country was Trevor Bennett and his wife Cheryl from the Canberra club. They were brilliant and its good to see he is still riding.
If anyone sees him at a Trial ask him about the old Cootamundra 3 Day Trials and about how his mob always turned up at every Trial with six bikes behind his Ford.
Next time you see your father ask him about Menai, as I am sure he has many stories.

Hi Mate

Saw you were online and thought I would put in a pic from the past that reminds me of the good old days.

Saw your old mate Peter Curtis at NSW Title 1st Round yesterday, along with many of the 'old' faces. It was a great day.

Cheers, Peter

Here is hoping the someone looking through this topic might remember a P Schwarz from 1977. I have a tank and seat on my 247 with his name written on both. I would like to contact him, if possible.
