Ok here's one for tonight. This young man lived at Balmoral, Brisbane near me and was a riding buddy early in the history of the Northern Districts MTC. He was famous for bringing amazingly well presented girls along to our rustic campouts at Lacey's Creek and for being outrageously cheeky to women in scoring tents and getting away with it. One day I was standing beside him when we were getting our first cards. The NYL with the cards said "name?" to which he just replied "spunky" and smiled at her. Luckily she smiled right back.
I took this photo in 1976 at the Grid property, Lacey's Creek, not long after he got his new Cota 172.
