Re: MTCQ,s "TY CHALLENGE"
Yahoo - thanks for getting the supp regs up Don
Greg Harding, are you still planning to ride your TY250A? I'm enjoying riding mine and am keen to ride it again at the TY Challenge.
Anyone else riding a TY250A? Do we have a hope of setting a world record for the most TY250As in one spot?

No there weren't any Zeds there. The Supp Regs specified only air-cooled TYs. Don't know why.

Re: MTCQ,s "TY CHALLENGE"
Hey Guys,
Glad you all had a good time at the TY Challege, better start getting your bike ready for next year with all the extra competition!
Great pics David, I'm hoping to get some up on the MTCQ facebook page soon, email some of your pics if you wish!
Bring on the TYZ's, there most welcome, I'd like nothing more than to see them taking it to the A & B riders on modern bikes!
You must have miss read David, the only exclusion to TY's was Scorpa's (Sorry Scorp's)
"Eligible to all YAMAHA TY’s relative to the mom’s rules for the above mentioned classes, which may be entered. (Scorpa’s are not eligible) "
There must be a few Z'eds still out there surly, and where's all the Mono's, fire em up for next year boys!
Where's Craig Gillies on his 350? Come on Craig, we know youv'e still got it!
Now I just have to get my Mono fixed for next year after kyle killed it in Cgrade....!
Cheers all

Re: MTCQ,s "TY CHALLENGE"
I don't know where I got that idea about TY Zeds not being eligible - I must have been dreaming - again
I did get a nice photo of Kyle and your TY mono before he did any damage and will get that to you somehow - how about I post it up here? Can't you take it from here to use on Facebook?
Sorry but I didn't get any riding photos - too much fun riding to stop and take photos.
It was a great fun ride all right. I had a ball riding with my TY250A "twin" Greg Harding and for the later part of the trial with Andrew Carpenter too. I'm not sure if it was the severity of the sections or the number of wheelies on the loop but my arms gave up just before we finished riding the sections - probably the wheelies come to think of it. That nice open bit of smooth grassy paddock between sections 7 and 8 was very tempting, and when Donna was there with a camera, Greg and I decided to stage a nice photo of the twin TY250As doing wheelies together. That sort of thing is always hard to stage-manage in front of a camera and we probably attempted it 6 or 7 times before we were both close enough together and in the right spot for Donna to get the photo. Great fun though.
Greg didn't mention it yet but I have to say that he decided to give himself a points handicap right from the beginning by riding his bike into section 1 of the first lap with the fuel turned off! It started to sound a bit funny only metres into the section then blahhhh on the first jump-up. It was the old "TY250A fuel tap handle goes the other way to the other TY twinshock fuel tap handles trick" that caught him out. It still didn't stop him beating his riding partners by the end of the day though. Nice ride Greg, and both of the TY250As ran like clockwork all day (once the fuel tap thing was sorted out). Andrew Carpenter rode well too, on his Father-in-law's TY175. It was one of the "dragged out of storage" TYs. Andrew had dome some basic maintenance on it and it too went like a charm.
